YMCA Colombia announces the National Forum Young Voices 2030: more than 400 young people will present proposals to presidential pre-candidates.
Bogotá, August 27, 2025 — YMCA Colombia will hold the National Forum Young Voices 2030 on October 3, 2025, an event that will bring together more than 400 youth leaders from 16 departments along with presidential pre-candidates to engage in dialogue and sign commitments on the country’s main social, economic, and environmental challenges.
During the Forum, young people will present the National Youth Declaration 2030, built from the Regional Labs Young Voices 2030, dialogue spaces where hundreds of participants have developed proposals around four pillars:
- Comprehensive health and protective environments.
- Education, decent employment, and sustainable entrepreneurship.
- Climate action and green youth economies.
- Citizen participation, democracy, inclusion, coexistence, and peace.
“This Forum will be an unprecedented space where young people will not only be heard, but also recognized as key actors in building the country. We are convinced that their voices are essential to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals and addressing the challenges of our society,” said José Alveiro Zapata, National Executive Director of the Colombian YMCA Federation.
The event will be broadcast live through YMCA Colombia’s social media —Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube— allowing thousands of young people across the country to join the conversation. The aim is to consolidate a space for horizontal dialogue in which youth go beyond electoral processes and strengthen their role as agents of change.
